GORE® Aerospace Ethernet Cables - Termination Instructions - Amphenol µ-Com Connector System
Technical Information, Anglais
W. L. Gore & Associates developed the following procedures based on our best practices for terminating GORE® Aerospace Ethernet Cables with the Amphenol® µ-Com Connector System, including both plug and socket versions. By following these steps, you can maximize the performance of your assembly in avionics networks, cabin management systems, digital video systems, Ethernet backbones and other aviation networking applications.
Check out the Termination Instructions and follow the detailed, step-by-step guidance.
Please note: While these termination instructions offer a helpful guide, they should always be used alongside current connector system manufacturing instructions for best results.
About the Termination Instructions
These instructions are intended solely for terminating Gore’s Ethernet cables with the plug and socket versions of the Amphenol® µ-Com Connector System. They first detail the tools and materials you’ll need, which include:
- Needle nose pliers, scalpel, tweezer scissors and hand strippers
- Cutters and crimpers (M22520/2-01)
- Positioner (31095)
- Clamp tool (Tie-Dex® II)
- Copper foil tape (3M-3313)
- Braid brush
- Probe/pick
- Insertion/extraction tool (DHK 696)
Preparing the cable and parts, terminating the plug connector (Termination A) and socket connector (Termination B), and closing the connectors are all covered thoroughly with easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions and photos to help you ensure proper termination.
